A God-Given Belief In Ourselves
--
I’ve always heard of two key phrases: The first being “We are not defined by our past.” The second of, “It’s our past that builds us up.” On a personal level, both phrases mean a lot to me. The first phrase talks about the importance of ‘here-and-now.’ It’s a reference to focus on the present moment, and what we can do to make the best of it. To admit our sins and regrets. To acknowledge our traumas and tragedies. But not as a hindrance… And it’s in the second phrase that is in reference to our pure intentions. The act of helping people due to our personal drive for goodness. So in a way, the combination of these two statements are very positive. It’s on the outside where it seems to be a conundrum between these two phrases. But it can now be said clearly: “We are not defined by our sins or struggles. We are defined by our born-again actions. Our born-again temperament.” If God can believe in our innocence, then we can believe in our growth. If God can believe in our potential, then we can believe in our aspiration. If God can believe in our redemption, then we can believe in ourselves. So let us not only pray for this, but put words into action. You can find innocence. You can find passion. You can believe in yourself. Go for the life that you want. Go for the life that God has placed in front of you…
May God bless you today.
